Several seasons ago, De Bruyne touted to be one of the best talents from Belgium. Since its debut in 2008, he was sticking his name with a local club Genk.
Talents which then makes the English club, Chelsea, attracted and recruited him in the winter of 2012, with 7 million pounds transfer fee. Signed a contract of 5.5 years, but De Bruyne directly loaned to Genk.
Hopes De Bruyne appears at the beginning of the season 2012/2013 to at least be able to show off with the Blues. Unfortunately, he was even loaned out to German club, Werder Bremen, and performed quite well with a contribution of 10 goals from 34 appearances and saving Bremen from relegation.
Back to Chelsea a season later, De Bruyne hopes he can really show the best performance on the field. However, the first six months did not go smoothly because he only appeared nine times in all competitions.
He was unable to compete from Willian, Eden Hazard and Oscar, making De Bruyne finally chose to go from Chelsea in January 2014, to join Wolfsburg with a tag of 18 million pounds.
"For me it is clear that Wolfsburg is my main priority when leaving Chelsea. I want to be part of this team, so that the club can continue to succeed and return to the international stage," said De Bruyne on the first day of his move to Wolfsburg.
