Supporters Protest, Liverpool Not So Raises Ticket Prices


 Liverpool supporters listened to screams. Aware that the proponents assume prices stifling, Liverpool does not raise it.



Last weekend, when Liverpool play against Sunderland at Anfield, thousands of supporters of the Reds decided to leave the stadium in the 77th minute. It walked out to protest the plan to raise ticket prices.

"On behalf of everyone at Fenway Sports Group and Liverpool FC, we would like to apologize for the concern caused by the planned increase in ticket prices for the 2016/2017 season," Liverpool said in a statement, which was written on behalf of the club's owner, John W. Henry, chairman Tom Werner and president Mike Gordon.

"The three of us concerned about the perception that call that we are not concerned with our supporters, that we are greedy, and that we are trying to seek personal gain from the club. Not so."

Liverpool then announced that for the next season, when the most expensive matchday ticket remains at the price of 59 pounds. While the price remains the most expensive season ticket 869 pounds (about USD 16.9 million).

Liverpool officials hope that, with this decision, a good relationship with the supporters will be maintained.

"Unique and sacred relationship between Liverpool FC and the supporters has always been paramount to us. The relationship was a beat of life of this extraordinary club," concluded the statement.
